After the Fourth of July hustle and bustle, take a break from traveling and enjoy a relaxed weekend in the Queen City. Start your weekend off right with a laid-back night of art and community at the monthly South End Gallery Crawl taking place on Friday, July 7th. This month’s crawl will feature seven locations that will be hosting shows and welcoming visitors for drinks, appetizers and socializing.
Coffey & Thompson Art Gallery – 1200 S Graham St.
Coffey & Thompson presents “Summer Splash” featuring artists Paul Hastings, Jack Whitaker, Paul Fontana, Bre Crowell and Susan Ludvigson.
Lark & Key Gallery and Boutique – 128 E Park Ave.
Lark & Key Gallery and Boutique will continue its Keepsake show featuring ceramics, jewelry and paintings.
Studio Cellar – 1800 Camden Rd., Suite 106
Studio Cellar will have its bar and studio open for visitors to create their own art throughout the evening.
Ciel Gallery – 128 E Park Ave.
Ciel Gallery will be hosting the opening of their new gallery show Abstractions. The show will feature work from abstract artists using vibrant colors, shapes and compositions.
Hodges Taylor Art Consultancy – 118 E Kingston Ave., #16
Hodges Taylor will have a survey of summertime artists they work with and will be open from 6-8 pm.
Magnolia Emporium – 307 Lincoln St.
Magnolia Emporium will be welcoming mixed-media artist Elisa Lopez Trejo. Trejo’s work centers on magical realism using mostly oil paint, gold leaf and silver leaf.
C3 Lab – 2525 Distribution St.
C3 Lab will host the opening reception for The Backbone Alphabet, an eclectic exhibit from Martin Settle that uses prints, poems and assemblage sculpture and explore the 26 letters we all know.
