Join glass and public artist Carmella Jarvi and ArtWalksCLT for a free guided art walk during South End First Friday on September 6 from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Experience firsthand how art enlivens public space; learn about transit-oriented integrated art; and be inspired by hearing about the creative process from an artist.
This one-hour art walk begins at the Powerhouse located at 1507 Camden Road. Meet at the plaza out front around 6:15 pm.

Registration is requested so participants can be contacted if the art walk is canceled due to weather or other unexpected reasons. There is approximately 1 mile of walking.
Carmella Jarvi is a full-time artist & entrepreneur. This McColl Center for Art + Innovation and Hambidge Center alumna — since her first ArtPop billboard in 2014 — has explored water through glass & public art. Her studio practice involves capturing water through kiln glass & painting. Jarvi transforms spaces & works with community around the theme of water. Want to know more?
