VolunCHEERS: South End Clean Up
Join South End Social for our second VolunCHEERS: South End Clean Up event of the Spring on Sunday, April 28th!
Registration is FREE and will begin at 9:30am at the Bland Street light rail station (Fowler Porch). Supplies will be provided by Keep Charlotte Beautiful & the FIRST 50 volunteers (21 & over) will receive a FREE custom T-shirt and complimentary beer ticket, courtesy of South End Social.
The day will begin with a community clean up in South End (10am-12pm), followed by a Volunteer Appreciation Event at Tavern on the Tracks (12-2pm) with over $1k+ worth of raffle prizes, FREE chips & guacamole courtesy of Bakersfield East Blvd and food & drink specials!
Last Fall, we had 147 volunteers complete 300+ hours of community service, collected nearly 1,200 pounds of trash across South End and were able to donate $500 to the Charlotte Rail Trail. This Spring, we’re looking to make an even bigger impact!
We’ll have contests for the “Best Event Picture” posted on Social Media to win a Charlotte Craft Beer Map courtesy of Montford Misfits. Bakersfield East Blvd will be providing a $100 Gift Card for the “Heaviest Bag Collected”. The Unknown Brewing Company will provide a $50 gift card and prize pack for the “Most Unique Item Collected”.
This is a family & pet friendly event and will take place rain or shine. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
In collaboration with Historic South End, Charlotte. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Charlotte Rail Trail.
