South End Highlighted in Huffington Post Story

George Hobica, syndicated travel journalist and founder of Airfarewatchdog.com published a story yesterday titled, 10 Reasons To Visit Charlotte This Spring, and South End got some terrific mentions.

Under reason number 2 “Food Wonderful Food” he calls out Price’s Chicken Coop, Mac’s Speed Shop and Luna’s Living Kitchen and noted the convenience of using the Light Rail from Uptown to access.

Reason number 5, “Cool Neighborhoods” was nothing but South End! He writes, “Food trucks, farmers markets, cool cafes, galleries — all bases are pretty much covered in the city’s historic South End neighborhood, a popular spot for the young and hip to live and play. Your best bet is to come down here for the monthly gallery crawl — held on the first Friday of each month – or for the neighborhood’s lively Saturday morning market at the Atherton Mill complex. While you’re there, grab a tasty, carefully-sourced breakfast from the Roots Farm Food truck (southendclt.com).”

The story highlights many of the other great spots you can find in NoDa, Plaza Midwood, Montford, Uptown, etc and you can access the full story here.  Below are a few pictures of the places you can find mentioned in the story.
